Thank you! I was able to save my data with a live USB just by right clicking  
and open the folder as an admin so it probably wasn't encrypted.

I checked "journalctl" and didn't really know what I was looking for but I  
read through it and it said that lightdm failed to start. I checked online  
and people with similar problems were able to start by writing "sudo start  
lightdm" but that did not work for me. Do you have any idea what I could do?  
If not, do you think that the problem will be solved by reinstalling  
Trisquel?
