Seeing if an Ubuntu live CD will boot up is not recommending non-free
software, and has been done before on this forum. Several members have
already tried to help this member to troubleshoot the problems from within
Trisquel - please try to be helpful to a fellow member in need rather than
shooting down workable ideas. If you have a solution that avoids the trial of
a live CD, please let's hear it. I'm of the opinion that an Ubuntu live CD
will have the same problem, as the problem in this case is hardware failure.
