Hi everyone,

I've read the FSF recommand the Iridium Browser as an alternative to Chromium.
https://directory.fsf.org/wiki?title=Iridium_Browser&oldid=74816#tab=Overview

So I've followed the installation steps.
https://iridiumbrowser.de/downloads/debian

But my terminal warns me the browser needs the GNU Standard C++ Library libstdc++6 at a higher version (>=7) I can only find Buster or Sid versions in the Debian packages (testing or unstable).
https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libstdc%2B%2B6&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all

I wonder if installing a testing livstdc++6 version would be a good idea for my Trisquel.

Does anyone have tried Iridium ? I'm on a Trisquel/Debian double boot.

My Debian is for experimental and I try to keep it as free as possible.

Debian doesn't allow Iceweasel installation anymore, but only Firefox (I don't know if Firefox is still considered as free software). Debian tell they only have free software in their repositories, but you can install Chromium (so, WTF ???).
So I've tested Chromium with a bit of fear and don't want to use it anymore !
It is still recording your history unless you block the read/write permissions of the history file. But this experiment has shown me the problems of display the free software meet to be at the same level of propriaty browsers.

Thanks for your returns.

Have a nice day.
