[Trisquel-users] Kodi uPnP/DLNA

Hello Everyone

I wish to install a newer version of Kodi than that found on the official  
Trisquel repositories, however I am hesitant to add any repos besides  
jxself's to the default configuration.

Is the reason that the version of Kodi on the Trisquel repo is that specific  
version due to later versions lacking audits? Or is it because they added DRM  
support in later versions?

In any case what might be a good alternative for playing uPnP/DLNA from a  
hard drive connected to the router? (tried VLC and it sees but can't access  
the drive)
