Gnome is fine, I've used it plenty of times in the past. Not my cup of tea, I  
like a more classic style desktop, but it's fine for what it is. Right now I  
already have five other DE's on my laptop, including a couple of large ones.  
I'm not adding Gnome to it just to try one sound applet. That was all.
