How to put the messages sent into the mailbox "sent" ?
Hi Dominique,
you'll have to use a pretty recent version from git for that -- the
released 0.3 is very old at this point, the git master has seen *very*
substantial changes.
To activate this feature, go to IMAP -> Settings -> SMTP, enable the
"Save Outgoing Mail" checkbox and type "sent" into the "Sent Folder
Name". No fancy GUI support is available for picking up the folder name
yet, unfortunately.
Because of the way how the IMAP folders work, the real name of the
folder to be used is server-dependent; it could for example be something
like "INBOX.sent", even though it appears just as "sent" in the GUI. At
this point, the best way to find a "real" name is to right-click on your
"sent" folder and select "Create child mailbox" from the pop-up menu. A
dialog will appear asking for the folder name; if you resize that
dialog, you'll see the real folder name in its caption.
Furthermore, the saved messages will be tagged with the $SubmitPending
IMAP flag which won't be updated to reflect their state once they are
delivered -- again, this is something which should be changed, but
haven't been done yet.
I definitely plan to make this part better over time (both the GUI and
the underlying logic), but right now I have to focus on writing the
thesis and finishing the code which is needed for that stuff. Patches
are most welcome.
With kind regards,
Jan
