Hi Peter,
I agree that moving to QWidgets enables more clever functionality and
therefore I won't oppose such a patch.
You might want to take a look at Thunderbird and its GUI, most notably
you could use a two-column layout with the date on the right, for example.
Also please keep in mind that there are other headers in there as well
(Sender, Bcc). The "reply" button has to distinguish among "reply",
"reply to sender only", "reply to all", "reply to list" etc. And
finally, there can be many addresses in the From field as well.
