Hi, I'd like Trojitá to become a part of the KDE's extragear. Don't worry, this will *NOT* bring along a hard dependency on kdelibs or any other KDE library, there are no plans to break the use case of running Trojitá on a machine without KDE even installed.
The KDE project offers a selection of possible licenses [1]. The one which fits Trojitá most in my opinion is "GPL version 2 or version 3 or later versions approved by the membership of KDE e.V.". As you might now, Trojitá is currently dual-licensed under the terms of GPLv2 or (at the user's option) the GPLv3. I'd like to ask you, guys, if you are comfortable with adding an additional option, the "or later versions approved by the membership of KDE e.V.". I'm in the process of making this change over the files where I am the author, an example of how the wording looks like is [2]. Please let me know whether you agree or not. There's no need to submit patches for your files (while you can of course), a simple mail will do. With kind regards, Jan [1] http://techbase.kde.org/Policies/Licensing_Policy [2] http://commits.kde.org/trojita/5ed7ed94c808420a961a4015e95bcef7f52d7bd3
