Hi Peter, please keep the mailing list in the loop.
We don't provide a stable API for using the IMAP code as a library, and
therefore you are completely on your own if you're willing to use our code
in that way. If you need an IMAP library, have some idea about how the APIs
should look like, and are ready to invest months of initial work to get
this done properly *and* if you are ready to maintain the result over the
next couple of years, then please by all means step up -- I'm sure that
many people will appreciate your effort.
