Please file a bugreport and attach full build logs, including the `cmake` step. You'll probably need to start a new build form scratch, in a clean build directory. We'll also need full command line arguments for the compiler invocation, including various include paths.
There's some black magic for finding zlib on Windows because it often comes bundled with the Qt SDK.
Is there some reason why you're building on Qt4 which will get EOLed at the end of this year, btw?
In general, we don't test with MSVC, and are not really able to fix bugs in there without patches. None of the Trojita developers is on Windows AFAIK, so this is a best-effort thing.
