For me personally it doesn't seem to make any difference. But then again, I've run tons of entity stuff, so it resolves as well as anything else. But yes, timebreaking is a quite light technique. It doesn't really address all the details that can make an incident more sticky. Anyway, if I use timebreaking I would attempt to hold all viewpoints in a scene at the same time. The stickiness of entities often relates to that one isn't taking responsibility for all the viewpoints involved. If one is willing to perceive the scene from any viewpoint, no matter if it is one's "own" or not, it resolves. Timebreaking has the useful safeguard, as compared to entity techniques or normal incident clearing, that one stays somewhat grounded by perceiving the present scene at the same time, so one never quite gets lost in the elsewhere scene. - Flemming o o / \------------------ Flemming A. For instance, there is the general idea of putting out complementary postulates to end a game condition. (BTW, this works wonders in your personal life when you realize there is no scarcity of beings who would put up postualtes you'd like to complement and who would complement your own postulates) One could apply that quite directly to an entity, putting out the complementary postulate to end the games condition. If you wanted to do something a little more NOT-ish, why not get in contact with the entity and get ~it~ doing TROM itself? [editor note. March 2002: NOTS is a Scientology technique] And of course if you think it's important, when you get to L5 you can always run goal packages on the subject of entities. --- GIGO+ sn 299 at jacome vsn 0.99.950303 Ä TROM (2:235/159.10) ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄTROM-L Ä Msg : 194 of 289 Rcv Pvt K/s Scn From : ASC Missions Group 236/174.10 Tue 01 Aug 95 05:49 To : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri 04 Aug 95 19:56 Subj : Re: entities handling under TROM ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Apparently-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: ASC Missions Group <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: entities handling under TROM On Tue, 1 Aug 1995 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > It seems to be that the TROM theory and practice could be applied > very directly if a person encounters what they perceive as entities. > For instance, there is the general idea of putting out complementary > postulates to end a game condition. This is not TROM, but in Acceptance we find the major key to releasing entities in finding the point of commonality between the client and the entity. They must share reality on something or they would not become entangled. And that shared reality will always be found to be an intensely held idea. The entity may be in unquestioned agreement with the client, or in abject opposition to the client's position on the idea, but the content of the point of agreement or contention will be almost identical between them. -0- Speaker for Acceptance <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Acceptance Services Center Acceptance is appreciation without significance. | (415) 964-3436 Appreciation is willingness to experience as-is. --8-- PO Box 390696 Significance is interpretation, or added-on meaning. | Mtn Vw CA 94039 Web Home Page at http://www.asc.org --- GIGO+ sn 299 at jacome vsn 0.99.950303 Ä TROM (2:235/159.10) ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄTROM-L Ä Msg : 195 of 289 Rcv Pvt K/s Scn From : "Dustin W. Much is learned on level 5 regarding exactly what other beings are. (It should be stated that 99.9999% of TROM is level 5.) In learning to make complementary postulates, you not only free yourself, you free other beings. When you stop compulsively playing games with another, then the other being will stop compulsively playing games with you. When you stop enforcing others to conform to your universe, then they can exist at peace with you. When you realize that you need not hold in your mind the idea that another is forcing something into (or out of) existence in your world, then you instantly free that being from its compulsion to do so. And you do all of this in level 5, except you don't just do it with one being at a time, you can do it with large groups of beings all at once. I have always thought that incident running was not easily done solo, whereas ability exercises were excellent for solo. Timebreaking takes an ability exercise and applies it to the running of incidents. Personally I have not found Timebreaking to be a light process. I feel like I've had case gains as big with TROM as I have had with auditing under an auditor. The more TROM I do, the more I'm impressed with its power.
