This is VERY interesting Pete - matching Dennis's games theory with Berne's -
what a good idea.

That should really make it easier to start observing games conditions in
everyday life. I will have to get a copy of Games People Play & read it again
- I think I read it when I was about 15 - ha ha!

As for trying to find Greg Pickering - perhaps we should all chip in to hire a
Private Investigator?! I did look up the phone directory. Perhaps I should
see what is required to do a search of the Electoral Roll? It is so
frustrating to think of those missing tapes out there somewhere - possibly
sitting in a box under a house or up in an attic & about to get handed over to
disinterested heirs to an estate ... scary!

Hi Rudi

Welcome to the TROM mailing list. You will want to visit my website
www.tromhelp.com where you can download all of the Dennis Stephens TROM
materials that I have so far and the lectures by Dennis about TROM in mp3
format so you can listen to them at your leisure. These files are in the
public domaine so anyone who wants them is welcome to download a copy.

I have heard there are 4 further Dennis Stephens lectures that were put in
safe keeping with Greg Pickering who lived at 20 Foxwood Ave, Quakers Hill,
NSW, 2763 Australia in December 1994. I would like to get copies of these
lectures to add to the tromhelp.com website. If you know where Mr. Pickering
is now that would help?

I live in California. If you have any questions about trom do bring them up on
the list as others would like to help. The TROM book on the tromhelp website
has many definitions of the words used in the footnotes which is helpful. You
may still find that there is a steep learning curve to try and understand the
theory of TROM. Do persist and you will get it. Ask lots of questions.

I am working on a beginners guide to TROM to make it clearer how the games of
conflict that Dennis describes for the therapy fits into the Games People Play
described by Eric Berne in his book by that name. The therapy of TROM works,
Dennis's theory supports the therapy but does not show how this fits into real
life. The book Games People Play is a description of how games of conflict
(postulate versus postulate with heavy emotional charge) occur in real life and
end up in a compulsion or inhibition, neurosis or psychosis or and engram. I
found very helpful to read Games People Play along with The Resolution of the
Mind.

Sincerely,
