Additions to the CDEI Scale

CDEI, (later expanded into CDEINR) A set of buttons (trigger words) which
describe in detail a person's action of reaching and withdrawing from someone
or something while going down tone on it. Curiosity, Desire, Enforcement,
Inhibition.

Curiosity brings one to put attention on the object, one then starts to assert
or Enforce one's intentions, when this fails one withdraws by Inhibiting one's
attention. The next step is to Deny the object - No object. And after that
comes a Refusal of attention in the object's direction, to be followed in turn
by Wasting anything and everything connected to the object or person. New

The CDEI scale was a mystery to me until recently. I did not know what use it
had in Scientology unlike the emotional tone scale which I recognized early as
a very useful scale to know.

I have been reading the Ghost Danse articles by Ouran recently and the
usefulness of this scale became obvious for the solo auditor.

The solo auditor needs a scale to determine when he is done processing a goals
package. Ouran makes this point about the CDEI scale: " Always remember that
the CDEI scale is the decay scale of goals".

Dennis make the point in his book TROM that an individual works at each leg of
a goals package till he feels he can no longer do that leg then moves to the
next leg. When he fails at each leg he substitutes the next leg. When he fails
at the 4th leg he substitutes a new goal and goals package.

While considering all this from a solo auditors point of view I realized that I
needed a point on the CDEI scale that would show that processing on a goal was
complete. I found this item in the book by Lester Levenson "Keys to Untimate
Freedom" wherein he coins a word "Hootless" and the state of "Hootlessness"

A hoot is the noise an owl makes which sounds like the word "who". A colloquial
saying was developed from this as "I don't give a hoot" meaning I could not
care less.

In order to be free of any goal you must let go of any desire to have the goal
and any desire to shun the goal. You must then achieve the state of
hootlessness toward the goal. This is a very handy word to have.

We are all working toward some goal. The goal we are currently working on is
the one that we substituted for the previous goal we failed at. Because of this
the CDEI scale must start and end with Substitute.

The past is a series of failed goals and the future as series of substitute
goals. This is the downward spiral we are going to end with TROM.

The scale now looks like this

Substitute

Hootless

Curious

Desire

Enforce

Inhibit

Substitute

The solo auditor of the goals packages needs to work on whatever goal he has
the most interest in and work back up this scale till he achieves the state of
hootlessness toward that goal then find the next goal he has strong feelings
about and do the same process on it.

Note that this means the solo auditor must timebreak any "Desire" or
"Curiosity" toward that goal. As long as he desires To Create. To Love. To
Admire. To Enhance. To Help. To Feel. To Control. To Own. To Have. To Eat. To
Sex. He is still stuck in those goals.

Keep on TROMing

Pete
