The meter not only reacts when it is obvious for you that you look at  
something, therefore dissolving it. It also reacts when you put attention  
on something you would not find important, yet this thing is charged.
Therefore you surely are correct in saying it validates.
Well, after a while one gets used to follow what the meter says. After all  
it is what one wanted to look at which is prior to the meter reacting.
