Some more games playing insights: Why am I doing TROM? To win or not lose or just to be free from the compulsion to play games? The "why" behind "not losing" is the avoidance of pain. It is a 'not know". I hate losing. I don't want to experience the pain of loss so I must win. This is a negative motivation and requires lots of theta because I am trying to prevent something from happening i.e experiencing a loss so I must compulsively win or try to keep winning at whatever game it is I am playing along the dynamics. The "why" behind "winning" is the seeking of pleasure "the thrill of winning". It is a "know". I want to experince the joy of winning. It is higher upscale than hating to lose but ultimately becomes addictive and an entrapment unless it is a voluntary game from which I exit on my own terms and on my own steam being fully cognitive of the games conditions, the players and my role in the game. The "why" beind seeking freedom is to understand how addictive games play can become and thus we seek freedom from the compulsion to play games. We wish to be in a NO GAMES state from which we choose to PLAY GAMES with full awareness and then to withdraw whenever we want without any compulsion to continue. There is another NO GAMES state lower down the scale where someone has moved through to NOT WANTING to play anymore because of the series of losses that the being has experienced. The being is overwhelmed and in apathy about playing and therefore avoids the game much like a painful situation. Pretty much the CDEI scale from becoming curious about games to being inhibited about games to no games to the game has destroyed me which is of course the wrong item...
