Right, "Scarcity of Attention", R2-22 and I may be stretching the perceived
similarity. It was the part about bringing objects up to present time to
view:

"Scarcity of attention

is the reason why a preclear cannot look at past engrams and

present time at the same time and, be in present time. His

attention gets caught or trapped in the past. The scarcity of

attention can be directly remedied by having the preclear put his

attention on one object until it is thoroughly real to him, then on

another object until it is thoroughly real to him, and then put his

attention on both objects until they are thoroughly real to him,

then his attention on a third object until it is thoroughly real

to him, and then his attention on all three objects until they are

completely real to him. The caution which must be taken is that

one does not fixate his attention on the objects but keeps him

answering questions concerning the objects. In all attention

processes, an hypnotic condition takes place only when the

preclear is unable to comment or respond while his attention is
closely fixed upon one object."
