Dennis found that various junior universes are impossible to express in the English language in a consistent manner so that the word be as in must be known can sometimes be at the cause side of the statement and sometimes at the effect side which is confusing. Using X's and Y's instead of must know, must be known eliminated the problem. Of course people have a hard time reading algebraic equations so it was not a huge improvement over the awkward statements in "plain" English.
Write out the 4 flows for each of the junior universes and you will find the ones that are a problem.
