Hello Brian and welcome!

I too was confused by the editors additions. It had a big effect on

me as the Scn definitions made it look like it was a "younger cousin"

of or BELOW Scn. Like being a "part" or "split off" of Scn.

However, I thank Pete eternally for saving all those tapes. Without him

they would have been lost forever!

Dennies talked about how people will talk endlessly about TROM instead

of doing it. You will find much proof of that in the forum. The mind

doesn't want to be resoluted.

I prefer going into session, that's why I rarely post here.

best wishes

Roberto

Hello! I just joined the list. I've not done much TROM yet, just a little.

I've read (many times) the book and listened to all the lectures.

Thank you Pete for making them available. I wonder if there are any more
lectures out there?

I read this discussion between Pete & Slim about edits to the book. I
thought that the book on tromhelp was the original!

I am actually very glad to know that it is not because I found that the
"editor's" additions did not help but actually distracted from Dennis'
presentation of the materials - so much so that I made my own version
leaving out all the parts in red.

I have to agree with Slim, the book should be presented in its original
form. If you want to also have another version available I don't have a
problem with that, but I think that it is not what Dennis wanted.

I looked at Slim's version and I do not see any footnotes. Were the
footnotes also not in the original? If they weren't I would definitiely NOT
keep them in the book. It makes the book way too scientological. I was a
Scio for over 30 years so it doesn't bother me much, but someone without any
Scn background is not going to find these footnotes helpful - book
abbreviations and what not more Scn lingo - not helpful.

Given the horrid reputation of Scn these days, I don't think it does TROM
any benefit to link it with Scn. Ot is uncalled for. TROM is NOT Scn. TROM
was not developed for Scios it is for everyone. 'nuf said...

Slim, do you have a .doc file of the original? How long have you been on
level 5 Slim? I'm just trying to get an idea of the time required to do it.

I look forward to doing more TROM and hearing about everyone's progress.

Brian

Hi Slim

my fondest hope is that many individuals take on the job of putting up
copies of Dennis' material so it never dissapears.

You have your strong convictions about how you want to present the material
and that is good and necessary to drive your postulate to present Dennis'
material your way.

I of course have my own compulsion to find and present the material my way
which i am doing.

i hope you are enjoying the tapes which i rescued from obscurity and the
transcripts which i am trying to make word for word even incuding the umm's
and ahh's. i assume these will fit with your feelings that not one word or
puncuation mark must be changed.

do post the URL to your website so that everyone can get the unediited copy
of TROM there.

Keep up your good works

Pete

hi Pete !!! : )

i think...... that there's allot of things not mentioned in the games
manual. But that does mean its ok to just do anything . because its not
mentioned. : )

really, i couldn't care less. ...lol, if you do.

If you want to help yourself in life you need to be willing to help others
to the same degree.

you may not see the logic of using TROM or making changes to the GAMES
manual while mentioning it as the place IT all started or what ever. not
my problem. Its yours . : )

staying focused with TROM is not unreasonable. losing sight, wondering
around is.

Dennis would be the first person to tell anyone the same.

im his ambassador . .... : )

there's a whole nother series of games being played far above your reality
level. mine too im sure. some not. Games between beings that do not have
bodies like ours but they sure as life , have the power of postulate that
can be so convincing, you'll swear it was your own .

you wouldn't believe me if i told you about some of them. non of which
violate universal laws. BTW. Its not the movies, radio , or TV that do the
stimulating . its the creators of the movies. radio , TV etc. Its just
another form of communication. Indirect and intentionally done so that way.

Dennis pointed out many things in the games manual. im backing up what hes
said and adding to it from my own experience. it just reinforces whats in
the GAMES manual.

listen to the comments he recorded in the IP lectures pt 1, regarding logic
of others.

specifically his comments regarding the illogical comments of
others.....lol. its sooooooo true. its in the 1st part of part 1.

thanks for helping publish TROM. You're a good man. I think the next best
thing you can do is remove the TROM.Doc with your changes and publish the
original as the original . Just the hard copy version , like I have on my
website. Dennis went over and over and over again , the complete Games
manual, getting it EXACTLY how he wanted it published. Put your feet in his
shoes for a moment and someone else s feet in your shoes. Consider the work
he put into it as if it were your work . Then consider someone else coming
along and changing it , then claiming IT is where it all started.... HE
brought it into existence to be known , all of it exactly how it was
originally published. Making changes to it may seem harmless enough , but
its a must not be known non life goal my friend. Make no mistake. ; )

Nothing wrong with doing what ever you need to do to make it easier for YOU
to understand . But just because YOU have trouble making sense of it , does
not mean OTHERS will , or will have trouble with the same sections you do .

Let me know what you think .....

Good Luck !!!

Slim.
