Hi all

While rereading multiple times the TROM books in order to edit them for print
publication I have had several cognitions about how TROM applies to life.
Most recently I realized that games become compulsive as the game player
becomes addicted to the game sensation peculiar to the game he is compulsively
playing.

So the nyphomaniac is addicted to sexual sensation, the cop or fireman may be
addicted to the adrenalin rush associated with speeding to a scene with siren
blasting and lights flashing.

The over eater craves the sensation of the smell, taste and texture of food or
food may be associated with mother, home, safety and love so he eats to get
that sensation.

The victim craves the misery of being victimized and the drug addict must have
the sensation he gets from taking the his drug of choice.

Games become compulsive because the player postulates that he MUST have that
game sensation.

All compulsive games play is an addiction just as shooting heroin into your
veins is an addiction.

It's a good idea to not be an addict.

Keep on TROMing
Pete
