Hello!
As you might have guessed I am trying to get through some confusion in understanding Level five. I would gladly receive some directions on where to look - being that pointing out a possible MU, grammatical misunderstanding (English is not my native language) or just simply a section on the TROM manual that I might have missed - from anyone who would be willing to provide said help. I would really appreciate it. Here it is: “To be known”, as in “I want to be known by others” seems to be a leg of the basic package “To know” : “Thus, both the goal and its opposite are restrictive upon life, and are opposed to the full expression of the ‘To be known’ leg of the basic package.” (from “Addendum to practical section” , “Level Five”) Then, in the “Theory” section I find the legs of the “To know” package: Leg 1 Must be Known, leg 2 Must not be Known, leg 3 Must Know and leg 4 Must not Know. I do not see “To be known” in any of the legs; This is my problem. Again, in “Addendum to practical section” , “Level Five”, I read: But the basic test is always: Does the proposed goal in any way oppose life’s basic urge in the universe: To be; To Exist; To be Known?” And: “E.g. ‘To survive’. This is a life goal, but it’s an expression of ‘To be known’.” >From here I understand that “to be known” is synonym of “to be”, “to exist”. The only leg of the basic package that I can link to “be”, “exist” or “survive” is “be known”, the creative postulate as per “First addendum to theory section”, “The four basic complementary postulates”; this is the complimentary postulate of “To know”. As I understand it, the creative postulate brings something into existence (an effect) to be known by oneself or others, be that a thing, an idea, an identity or whatever. Then, what is there to be known is the effect. The being, in theory is a static and no part of the physical universe; no time, no mass, no space nor energy but capable of creating those. So the goal “To be known” as in recognized, admired, loved etc. seems to be the goal of the effect rather than a creative goal. Besides, I can send an SMS to my wife telling her that the car keys are on the table, my purpose being that she finds the keys. In this example, to be known, recognized do not enter the picture, so to speak; I could not care less how she knows or who makes known; the purpose is only that she “knows” the keys. Well, this is all I have. If you find anything to steer me in the right direction, great. Cheers. Jesus
