If you recall, Dennis mentions that brain damage could be a big stop for anyone.
Being at age 62 I decided to study more about the brain and nerves and take stock of myself. When we think brain damage we think lobotomy or electro-shock therapy or tumors or brain-eating parasites or heavy neuro-toxin poisons. The brain is nerves and cells fed by blood and washed inside and outside with lymph fluid, and the nerves have a protective sheath called myelin and are the electrical conductors. The blood brings nourishment and the lymph fluids remove wastes. Lymph fluids, when one is young are very viscuous and quickly and easily wash out the wastes so they do not accumulate. Both blood and lymph need to stay alkaline Ph to function at their best. The blood will always make sure this happens, to the extent of taking calcium from the bones, but not so the lymph. As one ages and eats acid-forming foods (plus acidic psychic mass buildup) more than alkalyzing foods the lymph thickens and gels in areas, becoming less fluid overall. Arthritis, tumors (hardened lymph collection sites) small and large can form anywhere there are cells, as can other blockages of hardened lymph and the debris collected within it. In old age many people's brains begin to shrink and they exhibit some loss of cognitive function (short-term memory loss, etc). On top of that often the body gets a build up of the neuro-toxins that are in small amounts in many processed foods, even in sprayed produce. Neurological disorders and mental disorders go hand-in-hand. Would you call this a compromised brain? Yes, I would and I did and I decided to do something to reverse that.... something simple and at no cost of monies. Over the years I completed five long de-toxes with encouraging results; however this last de-tox gave me amazing turnaround in brain/nerve function and, along with a clearing out of covert games strategies formed in childhood, took my timebreaking session responses to a whole new level. It is an ancient practice and quite simple, with proper attention to good preps. After some preps I stopped eating and drinking. This is called an "Absolute Dryfast". During this time the body addressed neurotoxins and the nervous system and that was awkward and uncomfortable. The nitrous oxide I had as a child manifested as uncontrollable laughter for about a week while my gums tingled. Then my nerves felt very jangly, like being tickled or pricked and not able to do anything about it. This was the most difficult "change" to experience. I ended on the 13th day and slowly brought the body out of its de-tox mode, knowing I had not completed the job. During that time I was not able to dig very heavily into my case due to the de-toxing of the nerves and kept my sessions very light, but more and more towards the end of the fast I wanted to really dig into my case. I consider this dryfast a type of case remedy (or clearing accelerator) because of the work it did for restoring the brain and nerves. Of all the various fasts and de-toxes I've done this is the simplest and least bothersome: The body did not expel from all orifices as is typical with watery de-toxes. The body operated like an incinerator toilet, and heat was felt in the areas it was working on. I have a much clearer distinction between what is from the body and what is of the mind. The body went through the whole 13 days mostly like a lamb and it was the mind only that troubled me. I now have a body flexibility that is very nice for me to experience at my age. More importantly I have extraordinary clarity, more decisive and more able to discern what is truly important (life). I'm a lot less "casey" as they say in the Church, although that does not mean I am necessarily easier to live with because where I used to suppress or selectively propitiate now I can at least growl and hold my ethical ground. I do timebreak these incidents faster and recover my patience and compassion for self and others. My favorite triangle tech, which I got from the Tao Te Ching are the three points: simplicity-patience-compassion. The combination of clearing of childhood covert game strategies (with much thanks for my trom partner) followed by the First Dynamic ethics handling of completing a long and thorough dryfast gave me a well-deserved expansion of the three points of my beloved triangle. Even though the mind is still prone to be noisy, the body is quiet as a lamb and I enjoy simply sitting with it, experiencing it. In the past my body would stir up or dumb down my mind and I don't find that happening anymore (I stick to a body-complementary diet). Body is so quiet now. I'm also doing Level Three timebreaking around body incidents and sometimes I commune with the body and ask it about itself, and I know I am not my body at these times, yet I have very high affinity with it and wish to be complementary. The work to first waste, then re-build brain and nerves is not complete. If I do not find a more elegant and simpler way I will again do another dryfast.... gladly. Ethically, re the long lost and abused First Dynamic (i.e., the mind/brain/body complex), I am on solid ground (still some issues to be resolved), and no longer inverted into other dynamics because the first is failing. My second dynamic is of more pure intent too, because I have stopped trying to make my 2d as a prop. In the Church we called that covering a black hole or being inverted on one's scale of dynamics. I occasionally work with people as a self-enquiry guide, and my approach to my work is like never before - much less of me needing to be a "somebody" for someone else. A big role-shift. To summarize, the almost simultaneous and complementary clearing of childhood covert game strategies AND clearing toxins from the brain and nerves by means of a long dryfast are a life-changer. There is still much work to be done re game strategies and brain/nerve rebuilding, and I'm confident about that. colleen
