Hello,
I was wondering if anyone encountered this problem before.
I am running Fedora 13 (2.6.34.7-61.fc13.x86_64). Whenever I try to start
tcsd, I get the following error:
isnmod: error inserting
'/lib/modules/2.6.34.7-61.fc13.x86_64/kernel/drivers/char/tpm/tpm_atmel.ko:
- 1 no such device
starting tcsd: [FAILED]
the dmesg I get is as follows:
tpm_tis: probe of 00:0a failed with error -5
tcsd -f gives the following error:
TCSD TDDL ERROR: Could not find a device to open!
lsmod | grep gives the following output:
tpm_infineon 8235 0
I've checked and here is how the TPM drivers have been compiled:
CONFIG_TCG_TPM=y
CONFIG_TCG_TIS=y
CONFIG_TCG_ATMEL=m
CONFIG_TCG_NSC=m
CONFIG_TCG_INFINEON=m
so it looks like the tpm, tpm_bios and tpm_tis have been compiled into the
kernel. The infineon driver seems to be loading, but not working correctly.
On other machines, I usually had all TPM drivers compile as modules and ran
'modprobe tpm_tis force=1 interrupts=0'. Short of re-compiling the kernel,
is there anything I can do to make the drivers load correctly?
I did check in the BIOS, and the TPM is definitely enabled and activated.
I would appreciate any advice on this.
thanks,
Olga
