I'm attempting to port some code that works beautifully on Linux to a
Windows 7 machine running the Windows Trousers port, and I'm completely
stumped by the error I'm getting.
When I attempt to create an AIK, using the standard SRK handle as the
parent key, I get a key not found error.
I originally took ownership of the machine using the Windows 7 tpm
activation tool, because without that tcsd would not run properly.
(Hopefully there's a workaround for that, but that's not today's issue.) I
can confirm with my usual command-line tools that I have, in fact, taken
ownership. And yet-- no SRK.
Any ideas what might be going wrong, or what else to try? I can't see any
reason that changing the OS should change the expected handle for the
statically-located SRK...
Thanks,
Ariel
