A couple of years ago we (phd students at Politecnico di Torino) made some experiments with DAA and Trousers. We use a patch provided by Hal Finney and it worked quite good. Unfortunately our web site is on maintenance (and very unfortunately also the person in charge of doing this is on maintenance) so I can't provide an URL for more info and downloading code, but if you can patient a couple of weeks the site should come back online.
