Hi Kent, I didn't install thru yum. I downloaded the rpm package and installed with rpm cmd. Tried "service tcsd start" but still got the same error.
Is there anything I need to update in /etc/tcsd.conf? It has "port = 30003" line commented out. Does this matter? >-----Original Message----- >From: Kent Yoder [mailto:[email protected]] >Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 11:55 AM >To: Li, David >Cc: [email protected] >Subject: Re: [TrouSerS-users] Install trousers 0.3.7 > >> [lid@rhel61-lid2 ~]$ which tcsd >> /usr/sbin/tcsd >> [lid@rhel61-lid2 ~]$ tcsd >> [lid@rhel61-lid2 ~]$ tpm_version >> Tspi_Context_Connect failed: 0x00003011 - layer=tsp, code=0011 (17), >> Communication failure >> >> I found similar errors by others before but wasn't sure how it's resolved. >> Is this because tcsd wasn't started or configured correctly. > > Right, if you installed through yum then "service tcsd start" should work. > >Kent > >> --- >> David Li >> >> >>>-----Original Message----- >>>From: Kent Yoder [mailto:[email protected]] >>>Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2011 11:01 AM >>>To: Li, David >>>Cc: [email protected] >>>Subject: Re: [TrouSerS-users] Install trousers 0.3.7 >>> >>>On Tue, Aug 30, 2011 at 12:07 PM, Li, David <[email protected]> wrote: >>>> Hi Kent, >>>> >>>> Ok, I downloaded the 0.3.7 tar ball.
