I tried a simpler command, which also fails. Here's a trace compiled for debug.
Note that the tcsd communicates with the TPM, running several getcaps. There seems to be some incompatibility with tpm_tools. The (uncommented) getTCSDPacket() seems to be checking a size. The left hand side is 28 and the right hand side is 0. But what is it checking and why is it failing? ~~ tpm_version trace ~~ > tpm_version Tspi_Context_Connect failed: 0x00002004 - layer=tcs, code=0004 (4), Internal software error ~~ tcsd trace ~~ TCSD TCS tcsi_caps_tpm.c:43 Entering Get Cap To TPM: 00 C1 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 65 00 00 00 07 00 00 To TPM: 00 00 TCSD TDDL tddl.c:171 Calling write to driver From TPM: 00 C4 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 TCSD svrside.c:493 trousers 0.3.13: TCSD up and running.
