My inclination is to avoid scripts for simple things like this. It's all of 2-3 environment variables and starting tcsd with -e.
- Scripts tend to be unsupported and unmaintained. - They are often tailored to one user's environment and personal preferences. - They get buggy. Yours has 1-2 bugs. - When they fail (and they are not well commented), the user is lost. The web site and the documentation with the tarball both have instructions with descriptions - not just what but why.
