That's fine when you can see the status of the player on the screen, but, in my
opinion, toggles, which are a subset of what one might more generally call
overloaded keys, are a pain for blind users.

>I heard that control-r means
>record in RealPlayer Plus.

Are you not allowed to provide "record" in a free player? If "record" is an
eventual possibility, then leaving 'r' free for it would, I think, be a good
thing to do. If not, then 'p' for "pause", 'r' for "resume", and, being as
these are probably the most common commands (making them deserving of a really
easy to hit key) and having a toggle also might not be that bad of an idea, the
enter key could be the toggle.

I, personally, would avoid the use of control keys. An all lowercase command
set would be nice.

>s is already taken (it's the show state command).

How about 'e' for "exit"?

>I guess a quit or
>stop command isnt' truly necessary, since control-c does the same
>thing.

Is control-C intercepted? It would be nice if the official quit function would
display a one line summary describing where the clip was interrupted. This
would make it easier to know where to resume it later.
