Hallo,

I use the trplayer utility to create a performance
test tool for RealNetwork streaming server with
a perl script under Linux. But the problem of a client
machine is, that it has to interpret the UDP stream.
This causes the machine for multiple trplayers to use
very much CPU time. The best way to deal with it would
be an option to "disable" the encoding, perhaps piping
it internally to "/dev/null". With this tool one can
create really comfortable performance test scripts.
Is it possible to implement this option in the trplayer?

If it is not possible, is there a performance test tool
for RealNetwork streaming server? I have seen a really good
solution for the Microsoft Media streaming server. Here
you can define multiple clients, which can do statistically
several events like "PAUSE", "RESUME" etc.. I'm sure that
RealNetwork has his own tool for internal tests but why
I can't find it?

Many thanks in advance,
