Since few years I use trplayer to record some radio programmes. The command is like: /usr/bin/vsound -n -t -f rm20040527110004.au /usr/bin/trplayer -n -q -t 3606 pnm://195.94.205.212/live.ra The -n trplayer option may be important in your case.
