Surely the Mormon CEO knows ALL evangelical Christians believe in a literal resurection.  SO WHAT DID HE MEAN WHEN HE SAID MORMONS WORSHIP A DIFFERENT JESUS?
DAVEH:  I have heard several Christians tell me they did not believe Jesus has a physical body of flesh and bones today.  And even on TT, I have heard such.  Apparently you believe that way too, from the way I interpret your evasive answers.  So.....for those who believe that Jesus does not have a body of flesh and bones, does that not imply that they/you believe resurrection was not literal as spoken in the Bible, but rather symbolic???  IOW, Jesus showed his apostles that he had a physical body so that they would know that he was still alive (as a presumed spirit) even though that physical body is only symbolic of his spiritual body.  Do you understand the point I'm trying to make, Glenn?  For those who believe that way, yes......I worship a different Jesus.  The Jesus I worship has a physical body that is real.....even today.

You know, now that I think of it, DavidM is the only Protestant I can think of who has professed that Jesus currently has a body of flesh and bones.  Are there other TTers who are willing agree with him, or do most other Protestants believe he is only a spirit being today???

Again, with no disrespect, I can't see where the Mormon CEO has said anything new as it was greeted with a "of course I know we worship a different Jesus".
DAVEH:  I wish Jeff were here so he could explain why he said that.  I don't know if he was thinking of the flesh and bone aspect or not.
I'm sure you can find what the CEO believes about a different Jesus.  I don't know what he meant.
DAVEH:  Then why do you castigate me for wanting to read his comments again before I speculate as to what he meant?
Therefore, if the Mormon boss said something entirely "out in left field" the whole Mormon world would have reacted.  Mormons yawn at this so it's no big deal to Mormons that they worship a different Jesus.  Am I wrong in my last statement?

DAVEH:  How would I know, Glenn, since it is so difficult for me to find out what you believe about Jesus!  IF you believe that Jesus does not currently have a body of flesh and bones, then perhaps we do believe in "a different Jesus".  Maybe that is what President Hinckley was referring to.....I don't know, and shouldn't speculate until I read his words instead of your interpretation of his comments.
