DAVEH: Well Blaine, I don't think you were expecting me to respond to this, but I
thought I might toss in one more example of a BofM passage relating to baptism........

"And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in his name, having
perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the kingdom of
God. And if they will not repent and believe in his name, and be baptized in his
name, and endure to the end, they must be damned; for the Lord God, the Holy One of
Israel, has spoken it." 2Ne 9:23-34

........BTW......I am tempted to continue quoting the next few verses about the
atonement, as I think it would enlighten many people who would like clarification
about the nature of the atonement. But as I've said before, I'm not here to preach.
For
those who think there is nothing to be learned from the BofM, you might want to read
verses 25 to 29.
