Uhh, I think you got the premise wrong. Jesus did not condemn the publicans and sinners. He was FRIENDS with publicans and sinners. In fact, he made a publican his apostle, and that publican wrote the first book of the New Testament. So maybe we should follow in the steps of Jesus's apostle and be RE-publicans which is a publican who has RE-pented. By the way, what book of the Bible did a demon-crat write? :-) Peace be with you.
