I don't know Falwell on a personal level. I have spent some time with him. I agree with you he has made some big mistakes. He is not perfect. :-) However, I do know his numero uno right hand man. He is a great man of God. I have learned a lot that goes on and the bottom line is hundreds of thousands (including many homosexuals) have come to Christ through this ministry. I do know thousands of little babies that would have been aborted was saved through his free clinic for girls. I do know many alcoholics have been delivered through his home for alcoholics, etc., etc., etc.
Many of the statements he has made publicly have been so foolish that he has had to later apologize for them, and have caused a lot of ridicule. I wish he would think before he speaks. I also found it embarrassing how he took over the PTL ministry when the scandals hit, and seemed to be grabbing for power there. I’m not saying he isn’t a Christian, or many good points. I don’t personally know the man. I just don’t think he has the wisdom that someone should have who sets himself up as a public spokesman for Christians. What do you think? Izzy
