Dear Glenn, from Marlin:

Please read the rest of Romans to understand the whole context of Paul's writings.  And do heed the warning of Peter:

2PE 3:15    And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation;
            even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given
            unto him hath written unto you;

2PE 3:16    As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in
            which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are
            unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other
            scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2PE 3:17    Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware
            lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall
            from your own stedfastness.

2PE 3:18    But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour
            Jesus Christ.
To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Ro 7:6 - [In Context|Read Chapter|Original Greek]But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

ROM 7:12    Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just,
            and good.
ROM 7:13    Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But
            sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is
            good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
ROM 7:14    For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under
            sin.

ROM 7:22    For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
ROM 7:23    But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my  mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

ROM 2:13    (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the
            doers of the law shall be justified.
ROM 2:14    For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the
            things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law
            unto themselves:
ROM 2:15    Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their
            conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean
            while accusing or else excusing one another;)
ROM 2:16    In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ
            according to my gospel.
