Glenn, and other TT'rs...

I placed the <a href="http://home.attbi.com/~cpl2602/moonhoax.htm";>Moon Hoax</a> article on a web page for you to view.

I find the article interesting because around the same time period Joseph Smith stated that there were people living on the moon. This article was originally published in 1835 and duped many scientists and prominent men of the day.

Although I have found no direct linkage, the timing is right for this article to have influenced JS's statement. I take particular pride in the fact that the author of the hoax, Richard Adams Locke, and I share last names <G>.

If you read the article, let me know if you think it could have influenced JS's belief and affirmation of men living on the moon.
