We have the Issue of PERMITS, lawyers, courts, Constitution and the First Amendment, Police, media, money, with a church and city government in bed to stop PUBLIC PREACHING. This city is very HOT over the matter of OUTDOOR OUT LOUD BIBLICAL PREACHING around Temple square and on Main Street Plaza, or as the news media calls us "protesters." Since our October visit the Mormon church has tried to quench PUBLIC PREACHING by giving permitted areas only.. size of signs or banners..no harsh or aggressive words..with a decibel level...with Temple security filming everything you do or say..and the Salt Lake police to enforce all activity. Welcome to the kingdom of Utah! The Mormon Church has spent MILLIONS of dollars trying to shut down preaching, from lawyers and courts. To landscaping with trees (to block our signs from the street), to rocks and flowing water (to limit sidewalk space) and NOW THE CHURCH IS WILLING TO SPEND ANOTHER 5 MILLION DOLLARS TO BUY THE 2 ACRE EASEMENT KNOWN AS MAIN STREET. All this to keep us PREACHER/protesters off private property, the Mormon Church is buying THE FIRST AMENDMENT!! We have become more than a THORN IN THE SIDE to this church.we have become a VERY EXPENSIVE THORN. Tuesday December 17th we spoke at the "Plaza hearings" meeting to the Mayor, the city counsel, city attorney, and representatives of the Mormon Church. The chamber was full, the over flow was into the hallways and workrooms. For three hours, speakers addressed this issue for 90 seconds each on this topic. News media and cameras were everywhere as the city counsel sat. I personally REBUKED the Mayor and warned him if he signs Main Street away we will have more Christians come during the Mormon conference in April, and quoted "The love of money is the ROOT OF EVIL." (first photo on top left). Brother Lonnie raised his Bible and preached..please pray for him as he is always defending the Bible vs the book of Mormon. We gave him (Lonnie) and "Job well done" banner that reads "JESUS SAVES JOSEPH ENSLAVES" Paul Mitchell, Rod Warner, Kevin Deegan and others quoted Bible and Constitution. This issue will be voted on early next year, as we will all wait. Early that day we were out with banners preaching by the Temple when I saw a wedding and asked the bride a question,"If the priests inside the temple touched her body parts with oil during the secret wedding service that no one but the bride and groom and priest perform?" Well if that almost started a RIOT.if it were not for the media and a fence the wedding party would have hung us. Please take this tip from your uncle Ruben.NEVER! Ask a bride and groom after walking out of the temple about the touching and rubbing oil..
