Greetings in the Matchless Name of YahShua !

Following is an oldie but a goodie from several years ago ...

Actually the word 'church' is a camouflage.

camouflage, n. [Fr.] The art of disguising; especially the art of disguising material in warfare.--v. To alter the appearance so as to mislead or render difficult to recognize. (from WEBSTER'S ENCYCLOPEDIC DICTIONARY: A Library of Essential Knowledge 1943

The word of YahShua as recorded in Matthew 16:18 with the Greek word 'ekklesia' has been artfully disguised by the "principalities ... powers ... rulers of the darkness of this world ... spiritual wickedness in high places" (Eph. 6:12) in spiritual warfare, in order to alter the true appearance of what this 'ekklesia' is, so as to mislead and render difficult to recognize the understanding of what is actually being said.

The enemy goes to great length in the instance of this particular word to maintain the charade. He even utilizes those who should know better. Following is from a Bible teacher respected by many, a man who goes back over 40 years with a world wide group, and is a fairly well-recognized name ... a national and international Bible teacher.

<There are an awful lot of coincidences in the various combinations of

<letters, and sometimes, too much is made of them.

<[bef. 900; ME chir (i)che, OE cir (i)ce Gk kyri (a)kn ( dma) the Lord's

<Kirche, ON kirkja. See KIRK]

<It does not appear that the middle English chirche or cirice is derived from

<the Goddess Circe. Rather it is derived from the Greek kiriakon doma or

<"Lord's house." The Scottish "kirk" maintains the closer tie. kirakos is

<the Greek form of "Lord's" as in "Lord's day."

Following is a portion of my response:

"Kiriakon doma" does not appear anywhere at all in the New Testament EVER translated as church. In fact, doma does not mean "house" but "present" as in gift (Strong's #1390). "Kiriakon doma" is a red herring.

The word translated "church" in scripture in the vast majority of instances refers to the body of believers, as in the body of Christ. It is rarely found in reference to a building.

The word translated "church" and "churches" in every instance is 'ekklesia' except for Acts 19:37 where the word is 'hierosulos'. Neither of these can in any honest linguistic fashion be brought to 'church'.

The word 'church' gives homage to a pagan goddess 'circe/cyrce' or 'chirice' who seduced men with her song, soothing them into complacency and letting their guard down, then changing them into swine. She then ate them. I think it more than an interesting COINCIDENCE that she changed men, who are the created image of God, into swine to be eaten, which is an abomination.

Reference Revelation 12 and the birth of a man-child to rule all nations caught up to God and His throne. A great red dragon is described waiting "to devour her child as soon as it was born".

Could peoples have set themselves up to be innocently seduced into swine practice (if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck . . . or perhaps if it waddles like a pig, and snorts like a pig) through fellowship in the halls of the Chirice (church) of God, Christ, Luther, White, etc? Clearly history teaches this.

Consider what has occurred in 'church' history within the walls and minds of hierarchical churchianity. Witness the destruction to God's plan in all cases. Throughout this time, however, there has been a remnant of the ekklesia of Yah, which has continued. We are told in scripture that the end result will be a gathering together of these remnants (dead and alive) to form the Kingdom of Yah on earth. This is what we are to look forward to -- not "church".

I believe it is EXCLUSIVISM and the stubbornness of human nature that causes people to hold on to 'church'.

"Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it." I don't recall who said this, but I believe it to be true.

I have begun to favor 'ekklesia' myself. I also like 'assembly', 'temple', or 'congregation'. We could get real Old Testament and speak of the 'convocation'. Just get away from the term 'church' that is completely pagan.

Stop going to 'church'. Go to service. Go to praise YahVeh. Go to worship. Go to fellowship. Go to study.

s.a.Tan has twisted words over and over again and continues to do so in order to divide, confuse, and distract away from Yah. The Spanish have a more appropriate word for Satan - 'diabolos' - he who divides and abolishes.

An aside, it is interesting that God confounded language in our early history here on earth. At one time we were all on the same page language wise. I believe this will be restored as with everything else at His coming.

May Blessings of YahShua be Upon Each of You,

Chris Barr

P.S. 'True Church' is an oxymoron.

I used to think that the ekklesia-church 'word-game' was just some sort of inside joke of Satan upon believers. Deeper studies have revealed that it is no joke at all. It is actually the wild and desperate flailing of spirit-being desperados desperate to keep hidden a most glorious truth of The Word. I hope to write more of this discovery.
