So should we tell people that are celebrating Lent
that they are wrong? .....Just curious to what you all think!
Question is - is it wrong for someone to celebrate something even if the
roots are pagan IF they aren't doing it for pagan
reasons? Laura
GAL 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew
not God, ye did service unto them
which
by nature are no gods. GAL 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? GAL 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. GAL 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. DEU 18:9 When thou art come into the
land which the LORD thy God
giveth
thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. JER 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD
speaketh unto you, O house
of Israel: JER 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. |
