Hello, Pete! So far none of us have any missing limbs, what a wonder!

I think our main disagreement here on TT is basically the definition of "The
Law"; which some interpret as legalism, and some interpret as God's moral
"rules" so to speak. When it gets boring around here I like to toss out
that subject again, as it never fails to cause the sharks to start biting.
:-) Even Glenn came out of hiding during that last round!

How's it going on your end of the earth? Got any snazzier subjects for us
to chew on? How about the dietary laws concerning kangaroos? Izzy

Hey David.

I see that the people on Truthtalk still seem to devour each other. Maybe I
am wrong, but I do not see how you or anybody gets anything from this forum
except maybe heartburn. Maybe you can explain it better. :-(

The dialogue turns sour so quickly. I might unsubscribe after a couple more
days, but I'll wait until maybe you can explain. However, I would like to
address some issues concerning Galatians which I have observed.

The book of Galatians shows me what Jesus did on the cross and how we are to
live through Him. This in itself is more than the law could ever do. The
law being our tutor has taught us how sin brought death. This great
schoolmaster brought to our attention the result of Adam's sin and the
destruction it brought to God's creation. When Jesus came and brought the
new covenant to man, the law became unnecessary. The Galatians were foolish
to believe that salvation could be brought about or was even perfected by
the law. Paul explained that our liberty does not allow us to indulge in
things which brings death, namely sin which is brought about by our sinful
fleshly desires. (those desires that the law so eloquently describes). We
are now to be led by the Spirit. Our spirit mingled with the triune God in
order to restore fellowship!

Paul's revelation of Jesus seemed to be MORE than any of the other apostles
revelation ... even Peter! Peter walked with Him for a few years! Isn't
that interesting! Peter's ONE revelation of Jesus during his ministry while
Jesus was on earth was followed by a revelation by the devil! Were the
disciples not ready for the revelation or was it just not the right time?
(I wonder...hmmmmm) Peter even had problems understanding some of the
revelation that Paul had which further illustrates to me that our knowledge
is a revelation by the Spirit and not through our own reasoning.

We are redeemed from the curse OF THE law and not the law itself. The law
was not a curse, but it is Spiritual. A Spiritual tutor to describe the
condition of man. The law actually showed man what death was. Keeping the
law did not make him righteous, it showed him how he would walk if he were
not dead (spiritually). When we are walking in the Spirit, the fruits we
would produce are love, joy, peace, etc. The works would be through faith
because we would be walking in the Spirit. This is a learning process. We
have to desire the sincere Word of God and grow into the Spiritual man God
desires us to be in order for Him to fellowship with us in. As a full grown
man, He can speak to us plainly about anything and enjoy the creation of His
hand to the fullest.

Pete
