Myrtle is indeed a beautiful wood, but not too popular as a
gunstock wood because it is not too stable ( tends to swell and shrink with the
weather and humidity, causing pressure variations where the wood meets metal,
and causing the rifle to shoot to one spot on a dry day, and another spot on a
humid day)
