I absolutely believe that God has sent them there, and I have defended such many times, not only on this list, but also in private emails to James White who has objected to all of you. I hope my schedule will allow me to join you sometime next year. Dean asked: > Or are you saying that a sign has to be giving? No, I'm not saying that at all. Imagine yourself seeing a wonderful act of the Holy Spirit that sets a deranged man who is out of his mind free. Have you ever seen this? I have. It is truly amazing and I cannot describe the feelings of praise that well up in a person when this happens. For someone to witness such a thing and then attribute it to Beelzebub, that takes a very hardened man. That is why the Scriptures say that such cannot be forgiven such a person. When a person has sinned in this fashion, they have done the same kind of sin that the angels in heaven did when they followed Satan in rebellion. There is no plan of redemption for the angels, nor for those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Dean asked: > Is it or is it not a miracle when one passes > from death unto life-unto salvation- as I have > wittinessed? It is a miracle. Dean wrote: > DaveH suggested that the spirit that led us there > was an unsavory spirit-this is blasphemy (ie.speaking > evil-claiming that spirit to be evil) against that > spirit. Dean, when each of us minister, we flavor it with our own character and personality. Surely you know this. Furthermore, DaveH did not witness you waving underwear around. It is very easy for him to misunderstand what happened and to criticize it wrongly. If you then justify it as being "spirit-led," he is likely to question what unsavory spirit it was. That may offend you, but this is not at all what Scriptures mean when it speaks about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Dean wrote: > What would you think of me if I suggested that > Jesus wasn't the son of God-would you consider > me saved? No, I would not. Dean wrote: > I am in your house-but I am a man of God in your > house withstanding the false prophets in your house > -whom you have invited in this house and we will both > appear before God soon-again I ask you to pray. Couple of points here: 1. This list is not my house. If you want to come to my house, you are welcome here. I have a guest room waiting for you. Ruben has stayed here many times, as has Chuck Spingola, Jed Smock, Jeremiah Baldwin, Gary Birdsong, and many other preachers. 2. DaveH is not a prophet. Therefore, he cannot be a false prophet. The false prophet we are talking about is Joseph Smith, not Dave Hansen. Do you understand the difference? 3. The purpose of this list is not fellowship. The purpose of this list is an intellectual one. This list is a place where pagans and Christians and Mormons and atheists, and whoever would like to discuss truth can come talk truth. I believe that when people talk about truth, this leads to talk about Jesus Christ. Ultimately, all intellectual roads of truth lead to Jesus Christ. He is the source and foundation of all truth. 4. The church is the place for Christian fellowship. This is the fellowship of the believers in every city, coming together in the name of Christ, to break bread together, to partake of holy communion together, to worship and glorify God together, to influence their communities toward righteousness, and to teach each other from the Scriptures and provoke one another to love and good works. Do not confuse the idea of the church with an email list like this one. They are not the same thing in the least. Now before you respond to this, please pray. Answer with meekness and grace, seeking the Lord's help to give the wisdom that is from above. "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." (James 3:16-18 KJV) Peace be with you.
