Dean, I looked these up, but they only seem to show that we should not try to contact the dead or use mediums.  They don’t seem to explain what a familiar spirit is. Izzy

 

PS I will let you and David Miller hash out the mormon problems around here.  My attitude about them is “include me out”.

Familiar spirits are spoken of-We are too avoid such. Esp. if it is a spirit of a false teacher :-)
