Blaine: LDS point of view is that this refers to what we call the Great
Apostacy from the truths established by Jesus Christ and his apostles.
This was to a large extent caused by persecutions from Rome, but got up
more steam after Christianity received political sanction under Constantine.
The BoM refers to the result of this apostacy as the Great and Abominable
Church, whose foundation is the Devil. There are many scriptures referring
to the "restitution of all things," as recorded in Acts 3:19-21, which was
part of Peter's speech on the day of Pentacost:

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And
He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the
heavens must receive until the restitution of all things, which God hath
spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."

But there are other scriptures regards both the apostacy and the restitution
(restoration). Following are some references:

Apostacy of the Early Church:
1) Isaiah 24:5; 29:13; 60:2
2) Amos: 8:11
3) Matt 13:25
4) Acts 20:29
5) Rev 13:7
6) Rom 11:25
Restitution (restoration) of all things
1) Isaiah 2:2 (Micah 4:2); 11:11
2) Mal 3:1
3) Matt 17:11 (Mark 9:12)
4) Eph 1:10
5) Dan 2:44
6) Rev 14:6
