BLAINE: I gave away over four K
to the poor, helping them get on their feet. I
fast at least once a month in order to save up part of that money (see
Luke 18:12). I pay more than that into the
coffers of the LDS Church for a tithe. I
served for two years as a missionary to the poor of Salt Lake
City
Yes LUKE 18 does sound like you. In addition to being a False Witness are
you claiming to be a PHARISEE? Do you pray to yourself telling god how much
you do? Do you tell him how wonderful you are? You tell us all about "I" do
this I do that, just like the Pharisee. This man was NOT Justified before God.
The publican who cried out to God "give me mercy" was Just before God!
Blaine: I have been
listening to you, and some of the other street preachers, lauding
your many virtues and telling us all how wonderful you are and how much
sacrifice you all make of time and etc., and at the same time telling DaveH
and I that we just sit around committing sins of ommission despite the fact we
know better, that I am surprised you have the gaul to make the above
accusation, without first including yourself and these other street
preachers as prime examples. Lets get this straight Mr. Perfect Judge of
the Mormons, we all know you are the hypocrite here. We all know you
love to dish out personal insults, but apparently have a difficult time taking
it. We all know you are the only one on this list who
continues to hand out insulting, inflammatory remarks, after many requests by
DaveM and others to tone it down.
All I have to say is that if you
guys are going to brag brag brag about all of the wonderful works you do in
the Lord's name, maybe we ought to hear from the other side
too.
Pleeeeese, do
not give me any more of your self-righteous, "I am holier than thou"
crap. We are all sick of it.
LUKE 18 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a
Pharisee, and the other a publican The Pharisee stood and
prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as
other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of
all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so
much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell
you, this man went down to his house justified rather
than the other: for every one that exalteth himself
shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be
exalted.
TITUS 3:4 Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us
abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.

But I think Ruben wants me to go out on the
street with him. In all due respect to Ruben, I hope he enjoys
his work (he seems to), and do not begrudge him his dues. We will all
be justly rewarded, Ruben and co. included. Each to his own, I would
say. Let God judge, not me. But just for the
record, last year, I gave away over four K to the poor,
helping them get on their feet. I fast at least once a month in order
to save up part of that money (see Luke 18:12). I pay more than
that into the coffers of the LDS Church for a tithe. I served for two
years as a missionary to the poor of Salt Lake City, and was greatly
impressed with the vast resources the LDS Church has built up for the sake
of serving other's needs since it was organized in 1830. It owns farms
and ranches (it owns the largest cattle ranch in the US, in Florida)
throughout the world, it has food and clothing warehouses and employment
centers all over the world, for the poor and the needy. It has
manufacturing centers, canning centers, food outlets comparable to modern
supermarkets--you name it, the Church has it. All it asks is that if
you are physically and mentally capable, you donate some time and labor for
what you receive. A lot of people just go get the stuff and never
bother to work it off, of course--seems to be par for the course for people
who are either fringe LDS or non members. They seem to have
that "take-take-take" mentality inculcated into them by the
world. They need to learn that by giving, we receive.
Well, let Ruben and his boys, who are young and
full of vim and vigor, go out and picket the Massachusetts Courts. More
power to them. The only thing I despise is when they waste their time
picketting the LDS confines--we don't need it, although it does seem
to focus a lot of attention on us which we otherwise might not get. I
am sure more than one person has joined the LDS Church after being
introduced to it by the Steet Preachers Inc. LOL.

GREAT POINT KEVIN.
IF THESE MORMONS BELIEVED
IN THE BIBLE, I WOULD GIVE THEM A VERSE LIKE THIS;
"Therefore to him
that KNOWETH to DO GOOD, and DOETH IT NOT, to him IT IS
SIN"
James 4:17
WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT US TO DO SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD
NOT DO??
"For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and
lay them on men's
shoulders; BUT THEY THEMSELVES WILL NOT MOVE THEM
WITH ONE OF THEIR FINGERS"
Matthew 23:4

Seems to me the gay pride parade
went right by the temple last year.
Where were the LDS?
MIA !
Street preachers were there. SP's preach at diverse events.
(No pun
intended)
Sports, religious, festivals, concerts,
parades, political, did I miss any?
Talk is cheap Blaine. What are
you going to do about gay "marriage"?
DAVEH: Hey Blaine......These guys
are right.....best that you not perform any!
