OOOOPS! I thought that I had the "Full name on outgoing mails"
enabled. I was wrong. It should be working now. Sorry 'bout that.

I first subscribed to TT about five days ago. I was planning to
lurk, but I saw what appeared to me to be some obvious openings, so I
figured I'd jump right in. I know from previous experience on other lists
that nothing I write will change anybody's mind, least of all a mormon's
mind, but it helps my understanding to write these things and see how
others respond.

Most of my experience was on an old list called "christia," because
it was started back when a name could have no more than eight letters. It
was primarily, in effect, a roman catholic denomination propaganda list,
so most of the posts were of the protestant vs. rcd variety, though there
was a bit of various other denominations and religions represented over
the years. The christia list is just about dead now, so I'm looking at
others to fill my time while I wait for God to give me a job. (I've been
unemployed for two and a half years.)
