Hi Izzy,

Tis very nice to be thought of!  I am alive and well but have been studying for an insurance exam that I have to write next Monday.  Once that is done I hope to have more free time to share my thoughts.  At present I am reading all the posts and keeping a few tucked away to belatedly reply to.  A few people did reply to the challenge; whether people actually respond to the post or at least run through a few answers in their mind is fine with me, not to mention the therapeutic act of just putting my own thoughts on paper.

By the way, although you do not know me from Adam I would like to say that your kind heart shines through your words here on TT.

Jonathan

Thanks, John. You are always a blessing.  And so right.  But, speaking of Jonathan, I’ve been thinking of him today.  Did everyone complete his challenge so that he can give us our grades? Izzy

That’s where I am. Any other suggestions,

Great post.  I don't know.  When I get tired of talking to the wall, i just delete for a while, take a breath, enjoy the comments of others,  to wit:  Blaine, Lance, Bill, You dear Izzy, Charles Perry, Terry, Vince (hope he comes back), Jonathan, David Hill, sometimes G when I understand what he is getting at, DaveL, and so on.  It is a good list and much to be learned.   The book reviews, the insights, the fellowship and even at times the battle.  It is all fun to me -- at least for a while.   With those who discourage, the value for me is this: I really get to know my bible or at least the logic of my belief.

In this list, I feel comfortable saying whatever -- within reason of course.  These discussions do not take place at church.   I have been a saint for 47 years.  Do you have any idea how many times I have heard a sermon on the Rapture (which I do not even believe in but all my brethren do), or John 3:16.   So this list serves a purpose for me because of you and the others.

Just remember one thing  --  humor is of God's creation.   It is the elastic that makes things work.

To go along with your larger post, here is a poem you might add to those words:

            Times change but people don't,
Or is it better said, "they won't"

The grand kids are here.   I gots to go.

John
