You surmise that when someone uses "big words" or "complicated
semantics" that they are trying to impress someone. Most of the
time, that is not at all the case.

I went to a PCA Church once where the pastor was like
this. He
was a nice fellow so people liked him but most of them
didn't
know what he was talking about.
