Sanctification is the equivalent of Christian Perfection, and it refers
to our being set apart by the work of Christ to live holy and
unblameable in deed and in truth.  It refers to our continued walk,
growing brighter and brighter, unto the perfect day.  If a Christian
were to stumble, he might fall from sanctification but not
justification. His restoration might involve sanctification and
fellowship but not justification.

Some holiness groups make a big deal about there being a second work of
grace called Sanctification.  I don't object to this viewpoint, but I
rarely stress it as such myself.  I perceive justification and
sanctification as closely related to each other, sanctification stemming

DAVID,
FIRST, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT JOHN WESLEY EVER WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, UNTO SPEAKING IN TONGUES.
SECOND, NOT ALL SPEAK IN TONGUES, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PERSON WHO CLAIMS A TRULY HOLY OR SANCTIFIED LIFE, WHO HAS NOT EXPERIENCED A SECOND-ACT OF GRACE, I.E. THE INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BURN OUT THE DROSS OF THE SELF-LIFE, TOGETHER WITH SPEAKING IN TONGUES, AS PER THE SECOND CHAPTER OF ACTS, I.E. THE DEATH-ROUTE OF COLOSSIANS 3.
HOW CAN YOU EVEN SPEAK OF SANCTIFICATION WITHOUT MENTIONING THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?  DO YOU CLAIM SANCTIFICATION IS APART FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT,  AND NOT INVOLVED AT ALL WITH SPEAKING IN TONGUES?  IS IT POSSIBLE YOU WISH TO SLIDE PASS THIS SENSITIVE SUBJECT?
---ELSMAN, WITHOUT A CUSS WORD, NOR ANY AD HOMINEM---WHICH, BY THE WAY, I NEVER UTTERED TO RECEIVE A "REPRIMAND", BUT MERELY ATTACHED A LETTER FROM ANOTHER.   HOWEVER, A SANCTIFIED MAN DOTH NOT PROTESTETH LONG.
