I assume that by "her place" you mean Queen of the Household? :-) Izzy

I was thinking more like "Her husband's little treasure". She should be at the door to meet him when he comes in all worn out from hunting and fishing all day. Providing for the table is very tiring, and it is really good to have a wife to skin and gut and prepare what he has provided, as well as bury the head and guts so the flies don't get too bad. If he is still awake after supper, when she has finished doing dishes and chopping the firewood and slopping the hogs, she can sit in adoration at his feet. THis makes for a nice peaceful life. Unfortunately, my wife has never been able to get the hang of it.
Ah well, we have only been married forty-seven years. Maybe one day soon if I am patient.
Terry
